About Me
My name is James Venette. I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist with a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. As a competitor I have competed in multiple sports leading to a brief stint of collegiate football before turning to powerlifting. In 2016 I was able to win a World Powerlifting Association World Championship. My previous coaching experiences include:
High school and collegiate athletics
Military and first responders
Out-patient rehabilitation
Powerlifting
I believe in movement quality over everything. The key is long-term consistency. That is what develops the most growth. Though there is no such thing as a perfect program, there is definitely a lot of bad ones. I will break down all elements of my program and make it easy to understand and follow. I believe if I can’t coach it, I shouldn’t implement it. This has always served me and those I have coached very well.
I am an outdoorsman. I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, and just being outside away from mass groups of people. I am a very proud Texan born and raised in the greatest nation (The Republic of Texas). I consume too much BBQ and like to lift heavy. I still compete in powerlifting, and I will post my training logs pretty often on the blog site so check in every once and while.
I believe in supporting the community and those in need. If we want change, we need to be it. Please feel free to contact me for opportunities where my services can help you and your community.
Thank you for checking out the website and I look forward to working with you.
